Symphony makes strides in reducing ghost networks and achieving program goals over the past quarter 

• Consumer impact: 75% of active MDs and DOs in California are now included in Symphony
• Reducing ghost networks: In an analysis of 3 health plan submissions, Availity identified up to 3500 providers not at business, 28,000 not at location, and 45,000 incorrect specialties 
• Increasing provider participation: We have matched 40% of plan sourced records with provider sourced records, doubling provider participation from Q2 to Q3

Simplifying Provider Attestation in Q4 

Starting in Q4, we are streamlining several steps within the Symphony/Availity PDM attestation workflow, making it easier for providers to share their information with us. This change will help accelerate provider participation to improve the data that health plans and patients depend on. 

Symphony Webinar: Simplifying Provider Data Requests, October 24, 2024  

We are excited to announce an educational session dedicated to how Symphony helps providers simplify the complex directory data verification process.  

In this webinar, our experts will address the regulatory background and operational challenges providers face, showing how Symphony and Availity come together to solve them.

Provider Incentive Program 
We are partnering with select health plans on a Provider Incentive Program to encourage increased participation in Symphony. The program will begin in 2025 and focus on incentivizing attestation, implementation, and more.

Regulatory updates

AB 236 (Ensuring Accurate Health Plan Provider Directories) was discontinued. We continue to monitor updates to other legislation impacting Symphony and our clients, including SB 923 and HR 133.
