Delivering the Next-Generation Symphony Platform

We hope 2023 is off to a good start for you and your organization. IHA is hitting the ground running, committed to delivering a fully functional Symphony Provider Directory, addressing the industry-wide challenges of provider directory data.

We acknowledge that the transition to Availity has created unanticipated challenges and delays. While challenging, taking the time to rebuild the Symphony platform has been essential to improving its capabilities, including improved usability, data quality and greater efficiency and scalability.

This important endeavor has resulted in a higher level of effort than initially anticipated. Unique business rules, along with the complexity associated with custom inbound files, has required additional time and resources that Availity and IHA are committed to providing to ensure our vision of a fully functional Symphony Provider Directory is realized.

Symphony Progress to Date

Together, IHA and Availity have made notable progress towards building the next-generation Symphony platform, including a three-fold investment of Availity resources to expedite its development. These resources have allowed IHA to make significant progress toward the following:

Establishing repeatable, automated, and iterative processes to drive better outcomes.
Progress towards implementing real-time processing to reduce the time from file submission to output.
Reestablishing Symphony’s core operational model to drive stronger collaboration and efficiencies.
Preparing for forthcoming compliance requirements with support from input from Symphony’s Data Governance Committee and stakeholder relationships to prepare for forthcoming compliance requirements.
Furthering the Symphony product roadmap, with a focus on data model expansion, reporting enhancements, and compliance.

Our Commitment to Transparency & Communication

IHA is committed to providing our clients with the most up-to-date information during this period of transition. Outlined below are specific ways you can expect to receive these updates:

Client Success Manager — Your primary point of contact dedicated to communicating timely updates and information specific to your organization.
Symphony Newsletter — An important venue used to share transition updates and outcomes from the Data Governance Committee and Client Summit Series.
Client Summit Series — A virtual, quarterly gathering of all Symphony clients used to communicate first-hand updates and to support a successful transition.
Data Governance Committee — A panel composed of Symphony representatives responsible for advising on data policies, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
