IHA’s Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Dear IHA Stakeholders,
Thank you for all that you’re doing to care for patients, families and communities during this unprecedented time. We know your priorities have shifted dramatically. At IHA, we remain focused on our work — and ready to help in any way we can.
Reach out to your IHA Client Success Manager or email us at info@iha.org anytime with questions, concerns or suggestions for specific ways we can support you.
Here’s what we’re doing now:
- Protecting our employees’ health so we can continue working on behalf of members. Before California’s shelter-in-place order went into effect, our employees began working remotely. Continuing to stay up and running to support our members on the front lines is IHA’s highest priority. Steps IHA took over the last two years have provided a smooth and secure transition to remote working, including protection of member organization information and data (recall IHA doesn’t handle PHI).
- Adapting to meet stakeholders’ shifting priorities. Organizational priorities have changed, and we fully support that. This is why we’re taking a look at our near-term program timelines and deliverables to make adjustments, where needed. Over the coming months we’ll work closely with our stakeholders to assess the impact of COVID-19 on our collective work — and come up with a plan to address it.
For program-level specifics, check out the FAQs on our COVID-19 web page.
- Holding all board and committee meetings virtually. Now more than ever, it’s important for our industry to stay connected while still respecting critical social distancing and shelter-in-place directives. We will host our upcoming board and committee meetings as scheduled, but we will do so virtually.
Finally, as we work to support our friends and colleagues in the industry and on the front lines, we wanted to make you aware of a free seminar from CMA today for providers in need of telehealth support.
Thank you again for all that you’re doing to care for people and communities during this unprecedented time. When we have important updates, we will continue to reach out.
In the meantime, please refer to our COVID-19 web page for the latest IHA program-specific information.
My best thoughts for our collective health,
Dr. Jeff Rideout and the IHA team
