AMP Member Spotlight
Humboldt-Del Norte IPA
Humboldt-Del Norte IPA has long been involved in IHA’s performance measurement work. The provider organization appreciated helping to chart the program’s course during its early years. “We felt like we had a voice in how the program was laying out and how organizations could use supplemental data,” says Chris Jioras, information technology director for Humboldt-Del Norte IPA. “I was one of the early advocates for that.”
When the IPA launched a program to manage diabetes more effectively, AMP data helped keep providers on track. “It was helpful to be able to show providers their AMP data to help them monitor their performance year over year. It helped keep us accountable and doing what we needed to do to improve performance,” says Jioras.
As a member of the Technical Measurement Committee (TMC), Jioras enjoys being involved in discussions about measure set development. She also appreciates the opportunity to connect and collaborate with health plan and provider organization leaders through the AMP program. “It’s been invaluable to make those connections with other medical groups to say, ‘OK, how are you doing this? What are you doing to improve these numbers?’”
