Health plans and provider organizations (POs) have from March 21 until April 25 to submit test versions of MY 2021 AMP quality data files to TransUnion. This includes non-self-reporting POs submitting Advanced Care Information e-Measures for the AMP Commercial HMO program.
Your test files must pass before you can submit your final data files, so we encourage you to submit test files early. Be sure to use the final versions of the MY 2021 Data File Layouts, available here.
Please see pages 12-13 of the AMP Program Guidefor the detailed MY 2021 data submission timeline.
Please continue to submit your MY 2021 AMP data files and submission inquiries to TransUnion’s PDLTUAMP@transunion.com inbox. However, you will receive response emails from @nThrive.com instead of @TransUnion.com, so please ensure that your inbox will accept this new email domain. Otherwise, responses to your test files may end up in your spam folder.

Participant Spotlight: Western Health Advantage
For Western Health Advantage, the AMP program provides a line of sight into provider organization performance on immunizations, cancer screenings, diabetes management, blood pressure control, and other important health measures. Those insights help the health plan identify and recognize high performance with annual incentive payments.
“The biggest thing that IHA has done with the AMP program is to make transparency the standard in healthcare. That’s a huge cultural shift that we’ve been able to accomplish in medicine with the help of AMP,” says Khuram Arif, M.D., Chief Medical Officer for Western Health Advantage.
Dr. Arif adds that AMP streamlines data collection and analysis, which reduces the administrative burden for everyone. “As a health plan, we don’t have to collect data directly from every medical group,” he notes. “We can rely on the fact that the providers are used to sharing information with AMP and are comfortable with the information being shared transparently. There’s a lot of trust in IHA and the AMP program.”
Looking ahead, Dr. Arif is excited to see how the AMP program evolves. He hopes to see even greater alignment between AMP and HEDIS measures as well as more robust and analytical reporting capabilities to support health plan efforts with business insight. “Big progress has already been accomplished with the transparency and the fact that medical groups are aligned,” says Dr. Arif. “I’d love to see AMP go for that next level of reach."
We’re pleased that Western Health Advantage has expanded its AMP participation into our Medicare Advantage program, in addition to Commercial HMO, starting with MY 2021.
